We had both, both Aeros. The 2002+ with the 5 speed automatics get onto boost very fast as the torque converter slip allows for a much faster build of gas flows. The Aero 5spd autobox is faster. Perhaps one can abuse a clutch and be faster. After launch to boost the manual may be faster.
