Even with the 17's, your 9-5SE will ride much better than the 02 9-3SE.
IMO best lookin' wheel for a 9-5 is the "double three spokes" that come as the standard sport package wheel for 05 9-5 Arcs. It's also a "factory" look as opposed to a more distinctive aftermarket look. Factory OEM wheels are stronger too, more dent resistent.
9-3SS wheels, which have a slightly greater offset that works OK on a 9-5, have been on sale in the "double three spoke EVO" version for $155 list, about $100 a wheel less than most other 17" factory Saab rims.
