had been discussing this previously on another thread.....
http://www.saabnet.com/tsn/bb/9-5/index.html?bID=107712

Update. Just for kicks I emailed my dealter (Milford CT) asking about the code 11. Wanted to see if they could narrow down the cost and type of repair involved. Predictably they said I'd need to bring it, as it could be one of many things..which is fair enough...but I do have 2 issues
1) They said it's an $89 diagnostic charge. I asked them if that fee gets waived or included as part of the repair fee if I do have them do the work, they said no. Big different from how Toyota and Honda did things on my other cars.
2) I also asked if this could be a software related issue and he asked the tech who did say that an update did exist for the ACC software, but if they upgrade it, there would be no guarantees that this would fix the problem. The cost was something like $144 plus labor? I then asked why is there a charge to update software for my system if SAAB has deemed it necessary to code a fix. Which means that the originally shipped version is somehow defective.. unless the fix also adds functionality.. which it doesn't? He just mumbled something to the effect that "I only work here", etc.. etc. etc...

I did notice that my original problem (hot air from passenger and rear center console)does change somewhat if I run the diagnostic (ACC+OFF) then immediately recalibrate/reset (ACC+down arrow)..and then set the temp to 64 or lower... at which point it then seems to start blending cooler air through those vents (but never as cool as the driver vents... but close).. Can this be a software related issue. .. or is it something with the stepping motor not opening the flap completely due to a mechanical issue ???
