You can get tires on 4 days notice by mail order (like Tirerack) or locally even faster. Look at the specs in your owners manual (e.g., 225/45 wr17 94) and that will tell you what they have to take. if its says 94 and you buy a lower load rating, they may clip you.
If you are keeping, search the site, use tirerack's web site for price comparison, search this site and decide at your leisure. If you are giving up the car, search the Tirerack web sit for the cheapest tire that fully meets the book spec (they often have closeouts) and buy those. I bought Fuzion zr1, $94 for 225/45 wr91, but i wouldn't have for the lease turn in because 91 is not 94, which my Aero came with. Could be they would take 91, but you MUST ask in advance, becuase all they want is to keep your money even tho they will turn right around and sell the car with those new tires without a word.
And buy the little tread tool for $2 and measure them all over yourself, before you decide. That little tool is good to have, and eliminates guessing.
