I showed the worn front tires (then about 3/32 at 8k miles) to the dealer service guy in December, and he said there was a special replacement policy for certain Aeros, apart from the one-year Pirelli warranty, because some of the OEM PZ Rossos were wearing out too fast. Maybe someone else here has more info?

On the other thing, regular readers may recall my Aero had some HVAC problems, beginning right after I bought it in April 2004. The car logged 30 days in the shop in the first few months. I was back in contact with Saab recently about a new, but minor, HVAC glitch, and they offered me a compromise that is financially too attractive not to take. I'd rather not publish details, but serious e-mail inquiries from Saabnet regulars will not be ignored.

I'm staying in the family, going back to the hatchback body. Saab #8 will be a CPO '02 9-3SE with a PPC upgrade in its immediate future. Saab #9 is likely in August when my wife's '02 9-5 Linear goes off lease.
