It seems that the only difference between the two is the spacer between the pulley and the engine block.

I just ordered the 4774188 from the dealer and the pulley had the same SKF part number as the 4771085 but the spacer behind is different. But that is a loose part so it can be moved over to whichever application.
I suspect that the mounting boss on engine block is extended differently between those two VIN.

Not until around 2002 did they do a make over on the tensioner assembly and they moved the center idler pulley forward toward the 3-4 camshafts, changing the angle of the belt a little. Don't know if that was done to lessen the noise from the belt rapping over that center pulley or lengthen the life of the bearings.

I also don't know if it would be possible to install that 2002 and up tensioner assembly on an older car. I know that all the bolt holes line up between the two different tensioner assemblies.
