My wife and I have been shopping for another wgn for about a month now. I came across a super deal on an '02 Linear, but it was snatched up the evening we submitted an offer.

Last Friday, we found an '01 SE grey/charcoal with 36K miles that Gartner of Tinley Park (Chicago area) had just gotten in with an off-lease purchase. We drove down from the NW burbs to look at it, and it did indeed need some reconditioning inside and out including new tires. Bill and sales manager and Tom the sales guy assured us that by Tues, it would be set to go with certification and all.

So last night Tom met us at the Gartner dealer in Downers Grove which is more halfway for us with the intent to agree on a price, give us the car, and come back to the dealership this weekend to do the paper work. The car looked great and drove great. There were a few minor warranty items that will need attention, but otherwise the car is as good as could be.

With little back and forth negotiating, we agreed to a selling price of $16500 and some change. This was a great deal in my opinion. And we couldn't be happier.

Bottom line is if you're in the market for a car, talk to the guys at Gartner. They really helped make this purchase an enjoyable one.
