I read past posts but had a few new questions.

Regarding antenna reception- My 2000 9-5 wagon has the antenna in the glass. Nothing on the roof. Is the concern with metalized film just AM reception or both AM and FM? An installer just told me the antenna is IN the glass, not the inside surface, so there is no issue. That antenna is in the rear glass with the defrost, right? I also see lines in the side rear glass.

Another installer told me they lazer cut the film according to computer dimensions for a perfect fit. Sounds to me like that just makes his job easier. BS? He was the most expensive so far.

Any truth that non-metalic films are subject to fade?

Thanks all. Trying to avoid mistakes on something somewhat permanent.
