Our 1999 9-5 2.3 suddenly started idling bad...at first, a very high idle, now it's slow and rough and I need to keep my foot on throtttle to keep engine from stalling. Check Eng Lite on. Is there a way on this vintage to determine the CEL "code" at home w/o a scanner? Any ideas as to what likely casue could be? DI replaced a year ago. Car has 89,000 miles. Am going to try cleaning the throttle body before taking to dealer. At times like this I love my 64 Rambler and it's points/condenser/plug wires/ "real" throttle and idle mixture adjustments! :-)
