With the exception of OnStar and the weatherband, current 9-5's are availible with all the features you mention and more! You can now get an excellent touchscreen nav system with a cool projection view mode, xenon headlights, ultrasonic park assist, rain sensing wipers, rear heated seats are back in the Aeros, the inside auto dimming mirror now has a compass and garage door openers and the outside mirrors are auto dimming too.
Since 2001 the trannies have been upgraded to 5-speed autos includng paddle shifters, Aeros have gotten sport seats, Arcs have had their horsepower upped from 200 to 220 woth better fuel economy, and as the Arc is now the base sedan, up to 220 from 185 in the base cars. Aeros are now 250hp.
Linear sportwagons have gone down in price and you don't have to pay for heated seats or a sunroof, if you don't want to. And you don't have to get roof rails if you don't want them either in all SportWagons.
OnStar is mixed blessing, the vast majority of Saab customers don't renew, and we don't have real weather in SoCal so I never use my weatherband, other than for the novelty.
The Aero Academy is still in operation at Road Atlanta, and I think you'll love the new look of the 2006 while retaining all the traditional Saab 9-5 virtues, with more horsepower still.
Selection has improved, pricing has been relatively stable, incentives and leasing are still excellent, a mild restyle is on the way for 2006, 9-5 life is good.
