I was mid way between LA and Las Vegas (105F outside). My 2002 9.5
start loosing power, sputtering and stalled. Tried to restart it, it would start and run at idle fine, but would die if I press accelerator even slightly. I had a spare DI so I replaced it, just in case, no change.
CEL is not on. Car starts when cold or hot, but dies if I try to use an accelerator

Some history, I had CEL (misfire code) come on and off for a while, changed DI but it did't help, car run fine. A day before the incident CEL went off, and a 20mi prior to it headlight failure message came on.

Any ideas where to start trobleshooting.
