The following is pretty much the case for the entire domestic US market... SAABS included of course. There are some exceptions for specialty cars . (convertables ... Jeep Wranglers, etc.)
1. Used cars enjoy "firmer" pricing in the key auto selling months ... example: NE weather makes November thru April a bit off... soft ... for most brands...
May thru Oct are good sales months with firmer prices. In warmer climes sales and pricing are more even by month. In almost all parts of the country car sales people are working hard for business in Jan / Feb / Mar.
2. Model years shift forward "mentally" with the calendar ... they shift forward for warranty purposes with the "In Service date ... ie, if you bought an 04 new leftover in March of 05 the warranty clock starts in Mar of 05.
