I have an 01 SE wagon with a warranty about to expire in weeks. I bought used about a month ago and a couple days after buying it, it stalled after a cold start. The engine turned over fine but then died. It started up fine the second try. The next couple days it had an intermittent rough idle in the morning. I took the car to the Saab dealer who looked it over for the day and said it was probably bad gas (the used lot where I bought it filled the car with 87 octane). The problem seemed to go away -- until today when it happened again. I've been filling it with 93 octane. To add to my consern, I'm about to take it on a 1500 mile road trip in a couple weeks. Any suggestions as to what it might be? Perhaps I better join AAA. Will this be covered under warranty if the problem is reported prior to the expiration date?
