I love the big rubber bumpers of my 1990 9000. Now, however I am in mourning as she sits dead at my mechanics. She was my first car (mother had her before) and it was quite a love affair, never an accident and always polished. Now I am considering a 2000 9-5 Aero as a replacement, but am worried it will be destroyed within months. As an engineering Graduate student in Boston I want a nice, fast and very reasonably priced car but realize that she will likely be hit, plunge into massive potholes, and sit around much of the week while I am studying. Is it still reasonable to want an Aero or should I get another old 9000? Moreover, I get a 9-5 does anyone know of a product(s) that will protect me from Boston drivers? I was thinking roo bars, but they are all made for SUV's and all show or pimpin’ :-). I want something low profile but effective. Suggestions? How about coatings or push bars? Has anyone ever tried to Armour a SAAB? Oh why won’t big, black bumpers return!
