Hi all,
Wondering if anyone else has this problem..
Got a 9-5 Aero, the aircon has been funny from day one.. Initally when you drive, the compressor would initially cut after a few minutes. It can be restarted by cycling the Econ switch and it would be fine.. A few months ago the car developed a grinding noise at idle (and especially at starting) which my mech said was the compressor clutch failing.. So I changed the compressor, but the sound is still there. The problem now is that if you drive the car with the recirc off, the aircon works fine and cold. The moment you switch ON the recirc switch, the compressor will start to cut itself off after 30 secs or so of driving. Here is the wierd part. When you bring the car to a complete stop (Recirc ON.its a manual so you clutch in before stalling right??) the compressor will spool up again.. ???%$%$^
I am so annoyed coz if you end up behind a bus, you either breath its exhaust or you sit in the car with recirc and no cooling!!...
Any ideas out there??
