Slight vibration at 120 km/h... Posted by magalar [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Has anyone had trouble with Plus Zero 225-50-16 tires?, J, Fri, 10 Jun 2005 07:08:17 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Just installed new P-Zero Nero in 225/50R16.
VERY good tire so far, nice quiet ride, no squeal under heavy braking, good adherence on dry tarmac.
Installation was done by a pro, I mean a real pro installer. He installed the correct silver painted weights (the ones that are formed for SAAB rims) and he even did some mounting/dismounting when he founded that one tire would need a 1 oz weight. After rotating the tire on the rim 180 degrees, weight was down to less than 1/4 oz... The biggest weight (on the 4 wheels) is 1/2 oz.
However...
Inflated to 36 psi., a minimal vibration was felt in the steering wheel.
Swapped the tires front to rear, no change.
Deflated to 34F-32R psi (as suggested on this board): no more vibration.
Looks like these cars are more sensitive to tire pressure...
