2000 9.5 Aero Sportwagon w/ 76K Miles...
I was away for the Weekend in the Easternmost part of the USA, Eastport Maine.
My CEL did come on during the trip (it was a weekend), I was foing to have it checked out ASAP. The car died, and the DIC took the CAT with it!!! For those of you who don't know, Eastport is just to the right of nowhere on the map. We were lucky the tow truck took us back to the motel. Black flies were eating my wife and 11 month old alive. The cell phone barely worked on a Canadian tower.
We had to take a 3 hour taxi ride to get out of Eastport the next day. The nearest taxi company was 45 minutes away in Calais, ME. There were no rental cars to be had for 2 hours away.
The good news is that it was all covered under warrantee. The bad news is that this was a real PIA.
But it could have been much worse, I could have hit a moose :-)
