We drove around for awhile today and I was certainly impressed with the car. The car seems different on many levels from my 1999 9-5 se v6 w 62000 miles. Its a little tighter suspension wise. The car isn't as forgiving on minor road imperfections like expansion joints, especially in the rear. But it does seem to handle more competantly. The 99 seems more like a luxury ride. The 02 is definitly quicker. Is it the tranny? The engine? Or maybe the turbo in my 99 just doesn't kick in at all?? I have those stupid michelins on the car (xrv4 plus', whatever). Really don't like them much. Much louder than the bridgstones I have on the 99. I guess I'll be spending a couple of hundred on tires. The car looks great. Love the color. The wheels are almost as nice as the 99's. And the best part is today is my wifes birthday so of course this is my present to her. I just hope sh will let me drive every now and then.
