First of all as a tip.
If you aim your question toward just one person, you might miss out on the wealth of knowledge from other people that could have helped you but might feel left out.
86 Aero you say, so this is not US cars I assume?
An 86 Aero must the the pre 94 900 model in Europe (which we call SPG here in US).
You need to lift the whole engine out and split the engine transmission to look for sludge.
Those engines have the oil pick up tube attached to one of the main bearing caps with two bolts, and it is one O-ring (P/N 7972698) in the upper end of the tube where it mates to the front engine cover.
It is also a sheet metal gasket (7510291) between the engine/transmission.
The 9-5s are a lot easier and the oil pickup tube is bolted to the oil pan with a baffle plate covering the tube. It is one o-ring (9138009) in the oil pickup tube and two o-rings in a bypass tube (9137993).
You use an anerobic sealant between oil pan and engine block like Loctite 518.
Make sure all oil and grease is removed before applying the sealant. Absolutly no oil is allowed between the two surfaces when the oil pan goes back since it will damage the bond of the anerobic sealant.
