right at the connection point of cable and DIC. You will see two red bars protruding slightly from the front of the connector body. These are the tips of the two legs of a long U-shaped locking mechanism. The interconnecting part between the two legs is also red and completely covers the back-side of the black boxy connector, the side you can't see.
Push in the two leg tips with a screwdriver till they are slightly recessed, then reach to the back side and pry the locking tab until it sits about a 1/2-inch away from connector body. The cable and connector should fall right off the DIC at this point.
