I picked up my 03 Aero today from Philadelphia.
03 63K midnight blue/beige touring package
"Wow, it's like a spaceship" my girlfriend remarked as I floored the accelerator and the needle hit triple digits in the IV quadrant.
Can I get a speed limiter put in on this slingshot? It just eats asphalt like a monster - and Im afraid I'll get a ticket for speeding without even realizing it....by the time I got home it was fairly dark... I'm crusing along and I notice my rearveiew mirror turning green...I started fumbling looking for the rear window defroster thinking it was fogging up...no luck - I look up to check it again, now its a deep shade of green...I rub my eyes and conclude that I need to sleep a bit more...I continued to drive but I was concerned not having found the reason my green vision....Yeah..you guessed it....auto dimming mirrors - it took me a while to get it...doh!
I can't wait to drive it tomorrow! All for $15,250...So much car for the money! Leather, driver oriented cockpit (as opposed to the cheap asian center slab), oodles of power (think bottomless well)..autostick...xenons!...moon!...17's!...gorgeous paint! the car still smells new (probably a detailer trick) and all the electronics for the price of a newer Nissan Altima or a Maxima...what a bargain.
Quite possibly the last batch of the "real" Saabs rolling off the assembly lines soon...man what a ride!
I have some odd named rubber shoes on it...I'll get the name tomorrow and check the past threads....I noticed my xenons flicker once or twice through my drive from PA to NYC...I got 20.5MPG on the way back 85-90mph, but I toyed with the turbo a bit...I didnt know the gas tank was that small! [relative] The car vibrates a *lot* (at least I think so) when I'm standing in gear with climate on....I'll read up on it....I discovered my bumper is predrilled, so all I have to do is find a beefy - preferably rubber - license plate frame to serve as a buffer between other cars
