Ok, that makes it easier.
No I just mentioned transmission serial number as an example for when you are looking for gear box parts. Sometimes it is enough to have the VIN of the car but certain parts requires the transmission model and sometimes the serial number.
Ch is short for Chassis number which is the same as VIN here in US.
As a quinky dink, the EPC calls the timing belt parts, transmission too, but it is not the same as the "real" transmission.
So your car should take the 4774048 tensioner assembly with pulleys and the 4771085 lower idler pulley and the 4773545 timing belt.
Also keep in mind that it is a whole bunch of different editions of EPC CDs floating around and only the latest one is the most correct one for time being. Saab comes out with 4 per year and each and everyone have changes here and there.
You might have an earlier edition and the dealer have the latest one so some of the part numbers in yours might not even exist today.
Hope this helps
Anders
