Sorry, don`t know where it is, but I had the same problem and it was a microswitch that needed to be replaced (under extended warranty).
If it is the sensor I think you mean, I believe in the manual (around page 39) that it calls it a window glass breaking sensor. This is the one that you can turn off if you leave your dog or active kids in the car, so that the door alarm works but the motion detector doesn`t. Might wake up the kids, eh! Of course, who leaves them in the car in this horrendous hot weather? To deactivate it, press NIGHT PANEL until the SID reads DOOR ALARM ONLY and chimes - then you have three minutes to set the alarm, or the sensor resets.
