Light interior - Keep your front seats clean!

Beige leather tends to show stains more easily and is very stubborn to clean once it's there a while.
Case in point: My two previous cars had beige leather interiors and invariably after a while the color of my belts (around my waist) would show up on the seat back. Couldn't get it off no matter what I tried. Also, colors from shirts and other clothing would rub onto front seats and be difficult to remove after the sun had a chance to heat the seats up.
My advice is to clean and condition at least the front seat bottoms and backs MONTHLY using a high quality two step cleaner and conditioner (Lexol, Tanner's Preserve or similar). Once those stains show up, they're almost impossible to remove.
Incidentally, my '01 9-5 has charcoal interior. Don't know if I'll ever own beige again, although I love the contrast with certain exterior colors.
