If the engine is not overheating then it is not an immediate concern so give it some time and keep monitoring the level. The system is not supposed to lose coolant at all. If it is a very slow leak, it may be difficult to pinpoint. If the leak is small enough that you don't need to top it off for long periods in between, you will have to decide if you just want to leave it as it is and carry some coolant with you in the trunk.
If there is a leak, however slight, it's likely to grow over time. Also, there is the issue of warranty coverage as well.
Look out for signs of coolant on the ground, or if none then the smell of burnt coolant after long drives. The smell is distinctive and you will know it when you smell it. I had a leaking water valve which was replaced under warranty. You could never see any coolant on the ground because it was dripping on hot exhaust components and burning off. If you want to see if you have the same problem, stand beside the engine compartment on the driver's side and flash a light down and to the rear middle at the firewall. If you see anything wet down there, then it is most likely the following, a water valve or just the heater bypass valve (I think these may be the same things, I'm not sure).
Another potential area of leak is the water pump.
It sounds like your car hasn't gotten to a point that was as bad as mine but it will most likely at some point. My dealer did a pressure test and found the leak right away. (I told them where the leak was though, but I guess they had to do the pressure test to see if there were other areas leaking).
