Jeff:
I recently acquired an OBDII tool made by Actron (Model CP9135). It plugs into the connector under the dash and is easy to use. It displays all codes it finds, with an explanation of their meaning if they are generic or global code. If it displays a manufacturer-specifc code, you'll need SAAB documentation to decipher. Codes displayed can be optionally erased. The tool is available from Sears. I bought mine from ToolSource.com...they ship free and don't charge sales tax.
I'm satisfied with the tool...I think it's a good value for $150.00.
