My '01 with 97k km refused to start out at my dad's place in the country today. Everything looked fine til I turned the key to START, then the starter went 'clunk' and that was all.
I knew the battery connectors were OK since I had just cleaned/lubed them a couple days earlier. Crawled underneath with a 13mm wrench, loosened the top connector where the battery cable attached to the starter solenoid (it was only slightly more than finger tight), retightened, and was on the road again.
