Please tell me if I am overlooking something in the programming procedure: new to Saab ownership and just geting around to familiarizing myself with all the programmable options found on the SID- specifically, D.T.E. and Sp D Volume for the sound system. For D.T.E., my thought is that this should be an automatic calulation based upon remaining fuel, avg. mph, etc. But whenever I bring it up on the display, it's showing a rediculous estimated number of miles before the tank is empty. This morning, for example- 1/2 a tank and the readout was 402 miles. Granted, I'm getting excellent mph by my own calculations (quite close to what is displayed) but the D.T.E. seems way off. Or am I not understanding this function correctly?....
As for the Sp D volume- the default is set for "on". To be honest, I didn't even know the car had this feature available until today while going through the programmable features. Simultaneously pressing (and holding) "WB" while turning the sound system on, scanning over to Sp D volume with "seek", then using the volume control to turn it "on" and "off" then back "on, then letting the cat have sufficient time to enter the settings into memory (1 hr) results in no net effect. It just doesn't seem to work.
So...am I missing something or do I need to pay a visit to the dealer? Thanks very much.
