Resourced V6 for the 9-5....now bulletproof..

Previously the V6s found in 900 and 9000s were sourced from Opel. For 9-5 production the V6 is sourced from Vauxhaul in England. Also the 9-5 V6 was asymnetrically turbo's, adding significant low end torque and turbo feel and improved everywhere so that they have become the more reliable than the fours based on percentage of warranty claims. In other words 9-5 V6's have been bulletproof. Saab provides at free timing belt change at 60k regardless of warranty or ownere, but you must pay to have some additional pulleys upgraded.

Now if you prefer a 2.3 turbo four in standard or Aero trim, which many do, that's a whole different ball game, but there are many, many V6 fans among 9-5 owners.
