I suspect driving style has alot to do with it. Don't take offense. I drive mine hard too. I try to do what I did on my old Saab which I was told is unecessary. But before I shut if off after hard driving I let it idle 30seconds to a minute. I don't really know why the turbos are failing at a seemingly higher rate compared to the older 9000s and 900s. I got close to 200k before I replaced the turbo on my 87 saab. Which suprises me because it was only oil cooled. I was going to have majestic rebuild it. However, I found a new one on ebay for 300. Majestic offerd to rebuild my turbo on my old saab for I think around 400-500. They quoted me a similar price to rebuild the turbo on my RX7. My guess is that is what they would want to rebuild one for your car. Basically they just go in an replace the bearings and the seals. I think they will machine it out to if you want a bigger turbo. Good Luck
