The low coolant light went on in our 2000 9-5 lpt yesterday. I filled it up last night in the dark and rain. My wife drove the car about 5 miles and the light is on again. I have not seen the car for myself yet. Assuming the worst, there there are no external leaks and the problem is with the head gasket.
How bad of a DIY job is the head gasket?
What other parts will I need in addition to the gasket?
How much should I ecpect to pay at a dealer to get the gasket changed?
How much should I expect to pay at an indie to get it changed?
Drive Safe,
Joe
