Has anyone tried to soften an '05 aero suspension?

My wife is uncomfortable with the harshness of my new '05 Aero wagon. On long trips, I have to agree with her. I guess we aren't as young as we used to be. In hindsight, perhaps the Arc would have been the better choice for us. There are many posts of folks increasing the performance of their Aeros. Has anyone tried to gentrify one? One obvious choice is to go to 16in wheels. I'm not sure that will be enough, though.
