I have a question... Posted by Johnson [Email] (#3237) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Johnson) on Tue, 20 Sep 2005 10:45:16 In Reply to: Dash speaker replacement H/K..., Shea, Mon, 19 Sep 2005 07:41:16 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I like to drive with my windows down, and when I do that at freeway speeds, I have to turn up the volume to be able to hear it over the wind... (good excuse!) Anyways, if I turn up my bass much at all, it seems that there is not the power to support the lower, longer notes. I think this would be improved by a stronger amp, even if it was just for the subs, and a box around the subs. I have called a couple of local shops and all they could suggest to me was riping out the whole system, and puting in an aftermarket, which would interfere with the sid, and no look as nice, not to mention be very expencive.
My question is; has anybody ever added either an amp or upped the power to the subs, or has built a box around them for better sound? Thanks for your help!
