I guess I "just" broke the left axle, right at the point where it enters the hub. The mechanic's theory is that I hit the 2.5k rpms (the point where the trubo reminds you that it is there) right when my tire was in the hole, and because my tire was in the hole it could not take the spin, and broke the axle, he also figures it was already fatiuged at that point, so it broke easaly. 500 bucks is the estamate, and 4 days waiting for a new speed sensor for the abs. The old one was trashed when the axle broke. If any body lives in Arizona, I can suggest AUTO CRAFTERS as a possibility of a good shop. I used to take my Bronco to them, and called them, just trying to find a shop that would work on a SAAB (not the easiest thing in the world) and they said that they did! in fact they had three of them there. a 9k, a 9-3, and mine. They actualy took me out to show my what was broken, and showed me the new parts, and called me twice to give me an update on finding the parts and the findings. The dealership would not let me look at anything, and could never tell me what exactly was going on with my car. The ONE SAAB service writer, did not have a clue what the ONE SAAB mechanic was doing, and it seemed out of his capabilities to go in the back and ask...
