Inoperable trunk lid and the 'Bootlid' relay Posted by ChuckD [Email] (#2127) [Profile/Gallery] (more from ChuckD) on Tue, 18 Oct 2005 17:00:26 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Bah!
Trunk fails to open when pressing keyfob or door button. Lights blink but no latch activity. Tried both keys. Sprayed the latch with SuperLube and no difference. Wiring seems to be intact including there it passes from the body to the hatch. Right now I need to reach in thru the back seat and pull the interior handle.
Looking thru the manual I see there's a fuse listed but it includes a bunch of other stuff which all works. Then I see there's a relay, L2, listed as 'Bootlid'
Huh?
Can someone enlighten me if this may be suspect, and how would I test it? With a multimeter? Any other suggestions?
TIA
C.
