The warranty is out it's a 99 with 75k on it..every option there has been explored. This happened to my Dad's 1985 Porsche 944, and he was able to fix it by buying valves and getting the head machined. I would assume this is possible for the 9-5 as well. I just need instructions on procedure.
I agree that it is absurd that one lousy belt can cause thousands of dollars of damage. All of the Saab 4 cyl. engines not only have timing chains, but non intereference engines as well. The V6 you in the 9-5 is different from your 9000. Either way, good ole GM found a way to mess it up! Thanks for the help.
