In the annual reader survey of the Dutch version of Autoweek magazine, the first prize for customer satisfaction went to Lexus, followed by Subaru, Toyota and Honda. Skoda was the highest ranking european car. WTF??!!
So they must have come a very long way; last thing I remember was that Skodas were being built by forced labor in Czechoslowakian prisons, and things like they de facto invented the position-adjustable rear view mirror, just because the &#$% thing kept falling off. Or otherwise Dutch Skoda-buyers are easily satisfiable people...
