I am not sure if anything changed for 04+. On my 03, I jumped pins 87 and 87a on relay 666 (flash to pass relay). I used an inline fuse just to be safe. I could not solder the wires (maybe Saab puts some sort of coating on its wiring as the wiring was somewhat browned) so I used some specialty connectors that splice in the jumping fuse wiring. All of this was done under the relay board in the engine compartment electrical box. If you can find relays that are not glued shut, you could solder in a jumper wire to the relay itself and leave the Saab wiring in original condition. It works perfectly and as someone said to me provides “light of day” driving at night. Xenons, halogen, and fogs are a lot of lumens.
