ABS/TCS Malfuntion

We own a 2000 9-5 SE Wagon 3.0L. Over this past weekend the "ABS", "brakes", "exclamation mark" and "TCS off" lamp all were illuminated and the "bing-bong" alert was sounding. The dash lamps would go off and come back on intermittantly with restarts and just because. I also noticed that the speedometer was not reading when the warning lights were lit. Then the CEL lit up on Monday and did not go off.
I checked the stored DTC's today an it revealed only one stored code of P1925 (which appears to be related to the ABS/TCS failure).
From reading the archives and other information on the Internet there are indications are that the Bosch ABS module has some type of problem that leads to failures of this nature. Further reading indicates that the Bosch ABS unit may have an issue that rebuilders are able to rectify for a reasonable charge vs. purchasing a new unit (understood to be about 2500 clams....ouch).
Are there any electrical connections that need to be checked or cleaned before concluding that the ABS module is faulty?
Has anyone had experiance with a repaired/rebuilt unit?
Any information on this subject would be appriciated.
Todd
