Magnesium Chloride for snow removal-damage to car?

Hi, I live in Colorado where it's common to use magnesium chloride to keep the roads clear of snow. How bad is this stuff for the car? I'm going to wash it today but since I travel a lot in snow country I'm slightly concerned. Thanks.
