Saabs do chew up rotors a bit because the pads got more aggressive when they phased out asbestos. You can just get a small old fashioned micrometer in between the back shield and the caliper, but bear in mind that the area closer to the center wears faster. The minumum thickness is stamped on the edge of the rotor, and if you're close, might as well do it.
On the linear, the rotors match Saturn (search on this site)and are cheap. The big bolts holding the front calipers, at least on the Aero (2003) are large TORX heads, and you may as well buy a set of those - if not, I posted the size a while back, buy just one. Be sure you have a breaker bar (the longest they sell) because unless you have monster arms, the ordinary 1/2" ratchet won't do it. The are put in with loctite blue and let go very slowly, almost imperceptibly, and if you are working on the ground, you will lack leverage. I stood on my breaker bar, jumped on it at one point.
Since then, I've been told that the loctite lets go at 200 degrees f., so a heat gun or torch on the edge may help. You don't want to fry the rubber in the calipers.
Don't buy cheap sockets - this is the sort of job that breaks them. I use S-K, but Sears has them too. Look at http://www.tool
Once you break tghose bolts loose, it's easy.
You also need two Allen keys, forget which. And Loctite blue for re--assembly.
DEAN posted instructions, someone else as well. So the whole thing for $200. Probably 2-3 hours, less if you are good at it. Look at http://www.toolwarehouse.net for good S-K prices.
