I have a year 2000 9-5 wagon, 87,000miles. I bought this car, used, about 2 years ago with 60,000 miles. The dealer where I bought the car included a CNA 3 year/36,000 mile warranty. I've never owned a SAAB before and the car is very comfortable and just nice to drive. However.... since purchasing the car it has had numerous problems... leaking coolant issue (which was finaly fixed after 2 water pump replacements, numerous seal replacements, etc.), replaced IDM ingnition unit, a couple of other issues which I forget. Now.... the car's having a clutch issue, where either the master cylinder or clutch slave is bad. Seems like every month or every other month there is some issue that needs fixing. The CNA policy has covered some of the repairs.... but not the current clutch issue, which I'll have to cover. Plus the policy expires in another 9,000 miles. I've never owned a car where there are so many mechanical problems. I'd like to ask for your opinions... your thoughts on whether to get rid of this car or is there some point where everything will be replaced and no more can "break".... or does it sound like this car is just destined for being in the shop?
I really appreciate your thoughts and candid insights. Thanks.
