Not as you thought.
The throttle is not closing properly when getting off the petal. Can be a mechanical problem. The motorized throttle body (MTB) can have deposits and the throttle plate can bind on that. So inpecting/cleaning the TB would be the first thing that should be considered as this is a low cost maintenance item. Be careful with carb cleaners and such, as these can damage paint.
You can clean with a soft cloth with some solvent and thus try to avoid filling the intake manifold with carb or Tb cleaner. The cleaners are degreasers and putting a drop of oil on each throttle plate pivot would be a good idea.
If this problem gets worse, the ECU might trip the mechanical lock solenoid in the TB that couples the throttle plate to the throttle cable input.
