Sticking brakes/booster

Just a tip for others who may have this very, very rare problem. The 2000 9-5 (70K miles) had a sticking caliper - or so I thought. After extensive testing and part replacement it was determined that it was the Ate brake booster unit (behind the master cylinder) which was sticking - not the calipers or the master cylinder. The local dealer determined this by getting the brakes to stick (took about 10-15 minutes of driving to really sense the sticking)and loosening the master cylinder (nuts to the booster) while retaining the brake lines intact. This released the calipers since the booster (and evidently the pedal) was sticking partially. Very rare but it can happen so hopefully if it happens to you it will be diagnosed
quicker than I was able to do. The calipers and other brake parts are very similar or identical to the same vintage 9-3 models.
