You just need to remove the blinker to access the metal strap, unscrew it and lift up a little to clear the pins at the bottom of the box. Unscrew the metal strap / collar from the air intake tube on the box and pull down. You DO NOT have to remove the bumper!!! When the box is out, the intake pipe from the front of the radiator to bottom of airbox can be removed by pulling down on it. You might have to first remove a cover that's next to the fog light to remove this pipe. This removed cover will give you more air if you decide to install a splash guard. It takes most of 10 minutes and no bumper removal. If you're in Ct I'll do it for you.
When you're done think about a splash guard because of flooded roads.
Lift your filter a little by using a strap going from the "accordeon" pipe to the fender. It will avoid the pipe to rub against the metal and give more ground clearance.
