I was passing saab exchange and they just had 2 2006s put in the showroom. They certainly look striking, the silver wagon looked very cool, the black sedan less so, the wire framed specs look of the trim around the lights is very striking/startling with a darker color.

The interior mods are OK, chunky rotary dials are better than the old HVAC buttons but the instruments looked a bit pontiac, but acceptable. The new radio/dic combo might be more reliable and brings the option of XM if you like paying for radio.

The main thing you notice is how not that much has changed really, good if you like the existing 9-5 thank you very much, bad if you like and expect a little more progress. The 2002 MCE was a more substantive step, bringing important things like DSC and HID lights. I was hoping to see the 2.8 V6T in this MCE.

On a side note the 9-3 Sportcombi does not look as good as the european models in photos, and it is clearly too small for family use, those of you who are childless and have some sort of lifestyle liesure pursuit may like it.
