If you are one of those Saab whiners you will probably not like what I am going to say. It seems that many here have an axe to grind with GM, so if something even has a whiff of GM, it must be "bad".
2006 9-5 Grades:
Modified exterior: C+ (meaning the new exterior does not offend me, nor does it look any better than my 2004 model; nice looking, but nothing gained. Also, the chrome around the headlights looks fine IMO)
Modified interior: A- (meaning I like it a LOT, the radio is a LOT better with MP3 player connect and XM presets along w/ FM ones, the ACC knobs feel and work great. Bottom line is that any objective observer would give it an A, because any objective observer would not be OBSESSING with what is in and out of the GM parts bin. Also the new leather (as observed by a leather expert here) is AWESOME, much nicer than before, thicker, like the Ford King Ranch series leather.
Overall value: B+ (a 2006 would have more stuff that I could use than my 2004 and cost me less, except the Winter button - I'M JOKING - who obseeses over a winterr button?)
BEST OF WHAT I SAW: the 2006 9-7x. It is very, very nice. Much better than I was expecting based on some posting here. Well done. and I don't care where it came from (GM).
