9-5 Once prone to fail, forever prone to fail?

Good afternoon, 9-5 friends:
I am serious considering buying an used 9-5. It is a 2002 9-5 Arc. The car has 43000 miles now. Still within warranty till the end of 2006. The seller is the 2nd owner. He had the car since Jan 2005. Not sure why he is uloading the 9-5. Anyway, my main concern is that the car has been in service for many times under warranty. Take this year for example, it has been in shop 6 time. Parts changed including heat exchange housing, SID, coolant temp sensor, oil cooler, microprocessor, service vavle, glove box and several more small parts. If I had to pay for all these repair, it is probably over 2K.
My 9-5 friends, can you give me an idea: are this kind repair I will be expecting each year when the car is out of warranty? Or the repair done in 2005 are kind of unnormal for a 9-5 so that I should expect less repair than this? A 9-5 prone to fail like this one, will it normally be prone to fail more than average later on?
Thanks for sharign your experience!
Happy new year!
