Vacuum leak in the braking system. There is an auxillary vacuum pump attached to the engine, driven off the front most cam shaft (external to the engine, sort of hangs over the transmission & next to the battery). There are one or two plastic vacuum lines connected to this pump. Perhaps one of these lines or plastic end fittings has cracked or otherwise started leaking.
