I'm 6'3" (34" pant leg) and have plenty of headroom in the 9-5 wagon even with the roof.
I don't like:
Extra noise. (open or closed)
Extra rattles/squeaks.
Extra things to go wrong - lots of mechanical parts.
Extra maintenance - weatherstripping, adjustments, etc.
Sun on my head and in my eyes (At least I have the sunshade).
Water leaks.
Roof rust. (my 9k Aero had the whole roof replaced due to rust around the sunroof frame)
Freezes shut in the winter and can't use it anyways.
Loss of headroom (not a 9-5 issue)
Extra vehicle weight.
Usually have to pay extra.
I do like:
Being able to pop up the rear of the roof for ventilation.
A little extra resale value.
Open feeling created by additional daylight on the rare occasion I can have the shade open.
Seems like a pretty simple equation to me.
Strangely, 6 out of 7 vehicles I've owned since '85 has had a sunroof. Every one has had one or more of the listed sunroof problems.
